Hey guys, Salem here.
The four of us mods took a bit of time to mull over some complications regarding time going into doing requests for PPM. As we’ve discussed these complications, we’ve all come to realize that the four of us — now having full time jobs which claim 80% of our overall availability — are having a lot of difficulty finding the time for completing requests in our ask box.
Now, we know that PPM started as, and has always been a request blog. You could make a request for Pokemon of your choice and the artists would pick requests and draw artwork for it. This has been the norm for about a year now, but recently, we’ve become concerned with the lack of artwork on our end. We realize that a request blog that takes requests every month is only effective if requests are drawn every month, and this hasn’t been the case for the month of January and soon, February. This also isn’t fair to our followers who make requests every month, only to have no artwork made for the month and the ask box wiped new for the next month when nothing was made the month prior.
With these things in mind, we’ve come to a difficult decision. PPM will no longer be taking requests until further notice. We don’t have an exact date for when requests will be reopened, but this request hiatus is going to be a long period of time for us mods to regain our bearings. The four of us need as much time as possible in order to do this.
This does not mean PPM is going to be down during this time! The requests that we want to complete that are in our inbox currently will be done by our own terms. Additionally, the mods will create their own artwork for the blog when they have the time to do so and will upload that artwork when able.
Although requests are now unavailable, we will continue to provide Pokemon artwork for all of you to enjoy whenever we can. Thanks for your understanding. <:
EDIT: I forgot to mention, we won’t be taking on guest artists while we’re no longer accepting requests. In the future, when requests do become available again, we’ll take on guest artists. Until that time, guest artist inquiries will be denied, as there will be no more requests. We’re sorry for this inconvenience.
